MySpace The Modern Confessional

It amazes me how often people search for themselves by name on the Internet. Are these people paranoid? Scared? Guilty?

Server logs and tracking scripts give such insight to the psychology of web surfers- from what they search for, what interests them, where they work to their actual internet usage – it’s all so fascinating.

It’s amazing some of these people can hold a job with the amount of company time they spend online for personal reasons – causes me to wonder what good these logs would provide to employers, judges and more.

And then I wonder some other things about these people incriminate themselves on MySpace. Why in the world some of you would confess to crimes you commit – with photographic evidence and a typed confession is beyond me.

Screenshots and WayBack archives seal forever what you may find amusing for a time, and can haunt you forever. Some of you seem to think that acting like children is attractive, makes you look fun. No, it makes you stupid, immature and ignorant. You have no idea how many people are checking MySpace and other Internet portals to scope out possible employees, how many probation officers, judges and lawyers.

Before you people pushing 40 start acting like a 20 year old, ask yourself “how can acting stupid and claiming responsibility for committing crimes help me?” But, if your life accomplishments are getting both knocked up AND a G.E.D. I doubt you’ll be able to understand.

I swear if I see another “here’s me drunk” photo, I’m going to be the one that throws up.

I saw this too, people need to grow up. For some reason people think they have to have drink in their hands to look approchable. Well nothing’s more attractive than a drunk woman pushing 40 and unable to make a living.

Keep your tone, it’s fun to read!
