Found this video showcasing Google Earth and Denver at coloradoblogging.com. It’s pretty cool, shows our home (well mine) and I thought it was fun to play around with Google Earth again, it’s addictive.
The diagram to the right is to aid you guys who may later complain about splashback. Here’s a quick ramble, not a rant. Another common sense issue. A while back I wrote about some sites getting “penalized” by Google after the discovery of some spammy techniques used to boost their search rankings. I bring this […]
I’ve talked to many about video and websites, WordPress and how to put it all together. Many people have discovered that embedding a YouTube video to their WordPress blog theme can break it up. True. Though fixing it in the code view of your article is one solution, there’s great little plugin that will do […]
Looking over my logs I’ve found the top dozen most popular articles I’ve posted (ratio of views/day) and have listed them below. Together they really do cover the purpose of this blog, so I guess I’m happy. Greg Boser Dispatches The Black Helicopters – Complaints from a realtor that blames an SEO for his trouble. […]
Greg Boser – the evil SEO that has done what he was contracted to do is suspected of committing a horrible act, HIS JOB. As posted in forums and blogs all over the real estate space and even on Matt Cutt’s blog, real estate website owners are very upset that Google has penalized sites employing […]
There’s nothing wrong with increasing traffic to a website by making it genuinely informative and sufficiently alluring to attract links from other websites and bloggers! I don’t decry the practice of boosting, I’M AN SEO! HOWEVER, I do object to the means that some firms and people use to achieve it.
Dang it’s late, need to sleep but first I checked some logs. I found some funny Google searches that hit a couple of my sites. Funny Search (didn’t remember typing this one) Very Funny Search – hope I don’t get in trouble. Hey, WHO would search that anyway!!? And the funniest of all – Read […]
Tom Antion, the self proclaimed Internet Marketing Guru, has recently sent out a mass mailing with an insulting and inaccurate subject and message. The subject line states “your links are wrong on your website” Hey Tom, thanks for the analysis, thanks for the lies. It certainly set the tone for the rest of your email […]
With so many people using the Internet today from shopping to banking, research to just killing time at their hourly 8-5 cubicle job in that big glass building you G.E.D. types have, we are all inundated with new website designs and layouts. Just as the term “banner blindness” was coined because web page elements that […]
I can understand the thought process. A company holds a meeting and it’s decided that they want/need a website. They shop around, gather bids and ultimately write a huge check to some firm or somebody for a state-of-the-art website with so many bells and whistles that it would make Cpt. Kirk envious. This company has […]
What a great day! A major competitor of a client of mine has panicked. Don’t get me wrong, I really respect this company, and they’ve been a worthy adversary for a time. They must have thought the same of my client because they have completely rewritten their website. Yes the site is beautiful. Yes the […]
There always come the time you’re asked about the “sandbox” by your clients – the “time delay”, whatever you may call it, whatever they may think it is. While it’s possible to defeat this “filter” you need to be cautious and not promise success. Instead, I resort to a little metaphor I call “probation” and […]
